It’s nowhere near the biggest public aquarium in the United States, but it is the oldest. And it’s in a place you would never expect. DC’s National Aquarium closed permanently in 2013. The much larger one in Baltimore remains open.

Do I have to wear a mask at Baltimore Aquarium?
Face Coverings In response to COVID-19, the National Aquarium requires that everyone over the age of two (2) years old wear a face covering at all times while inside the Aquarium. A supply of complimentary surgical masks are on hand for those who arrive without a proper face covering.
Does Aquarium require mask?
All guests ages two and over are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times. All masks must be at least two layers, not have vents or valves, and scarfs, bandanas, and gaiters are not allowed. Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine must still wear a mask and follow all safety protocols.
