It’s been ten years since she and her husband Kevin LiVolsi founded NuttZo, a nut butter and protein bar company, and the nonprofit Project Left Behind.

Does NuttZo need to be refrigerated?

Why do NuttZo Bold BiteZ need to be refrigerated? Bold BiteZ need to be refrigerated because we don’t add any emulsifiers and the oils would start separating at room temperature. Also there are no preservatives in our bars so the bars could start to taste rancid after two weeks.
