One they’ve recently put on the market for $22 million has a 4,000-square-foot house, two miles of coastline and 145 acres of land purchased in 2006.
How do you get to Exuma in the Bahamas?
The most popular way to get to the Exumas is to fly there aboard Bahamasair (tel. 800/222-4262; www.bahamasair.com), which offers twice-daily service from Nassau to George Town. The first flight usually leaves Nassau in the morning sometime around 6:20am, depending on the day. The second flight is at 4pm.

Staniel Cay itself has some very scenic spots and places of interest. These include the stunning white sand beach “Ocean Beach” on the eastern shoreline of Staniel Cay.
Which island is better Exuma or Eleuthera?
It feels less like a tourist location and more like an adventure. Exuma is much less challenging but the rewards are more concentrated, if that makes sense. Beaches, food, groceries are all easier to find. I do prefer Eleuthera and can’t wait to go back!
Does Exuma have a hospital?
The mini hospital has opened its doors today. It is very well equipped, however, all of the personnel needed for full operation are not yet in place. Air ambulance services are utilized for many emergencies here, but at a cost to the patient.
